Economic Balance

Money and finances can cause a lot of confusion in a believer's life. In America where we are so so self made and always seeking advancement this can affect our walk with Jesus. The Bible has a lot to say about the economics of our life as well as the spritual. Here's some verses in Proverbs 30: 8,9 that always helped me to keep an economic balance in life.

Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.

Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD ?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

You can actually determine where you are right now by reading those verses. Do you have so much stuff that it causes you to drift away from the lord?

Are you so needy that you are tempted to take shortcuts to get what you need? It doesn't have to be stealing. It could be tax evasion or use of illegal loopholes etc.

You can have some stuff if the stuff doesn't have you!
